The Dr. Deer Team together has almost 100 years of experience in deer research, management and R&D. We have managed properties and consulted with government entities from Mexico to Canada and every state and province in which whitetails reside. Over the four decades of existence for the Institute for White-tailed Deer Management & Research at Stephen F. Dr. Deer, Inc. has long been associated with companies desiring to produce products and services that are top of the line. We continue to work in two ways. First, we conduct independent testing of the efficacy of products. We do so at an at cost basis, on the condition of complete, unbiased scientific scrutiny. Over the years, we have tested and verified such products as Ozonics; Skunk Fusion; Buck Forage Oats, chicory and clover; NutraDeer feed, Grassworks Weed Wiper, Gallagher electric fencing and others. Second, we will work with manufacturers or service providers in the development of new products that are scientifically based and truly work for the consumer. Boss Buck Feeders allowed us to help design the perfect deer feeder, which has been very successful commercially.

Products and services that have passed our rigorous testing and evaluation have been awarded the “Dr. Deer Gold Seal of Approval.” In the Products section of our web site, we list products in two categories: Dr. Deer Certified and Dr. Deer Preferred. The difference in these two classifications is the former has undergone our testing and evaluation; the second represent products we use ourselves, have confidence in, but have not evaluated them formally.
